Just the terms “marketing plan” or “strategy” can be off-putting, but they needn’t be complicated.  In the same way that you wouldn’t set off on a journey without a map, it makes sense to plan your business journey before you set off.

When you have an exciting new business idea, it can be tempting to jump straight into the fun stuff like designing your logo, but it is so important to lay good foundations at the start with market research and a basic marketing plan.
